Product Description RPM540B is a non -halogenated flame retardant based on red phosphorus, particularly suitable for polyester articles. It is offered as a free-flowing and dust-free master batch in pellets physical form which makes it very easy to handle, accurate to dose and safe to process, allowing high consistency in the quality of the final article. RPM540B is based on stabilized and micro-encapsulated red phosphorus powder grades and polyester as a carrier resin. It is easy to be homogeneously dispersed in the polymer compound. Applications RPM540B is the master batch developed especially for PBT, also glass-fiber reinforced, intended to be used for electrical switches connectors, domestic appliances and microwaves ovens, etc. It is also suitable for a blend component in other polyester like PET. Formulation In glass-fiber-reinforced PBT, a recommended dosage should range from 13 to 15%(by wt)based on the weight of polymer, depending on PBT grade, processing conditions and glass fiber content and the required flame retardancy class.
